The annual Taste of Bethesda - presented by Bethesda Urban Partnership - will take place on October 5 in the Woodmont Trianglearea. The food and music festival will bring 60 restaurants and five stages of entertainment to the area. More than 40,000 attend the popular event each year and sample foods from esteemed restaurants, enjoy live entertainment and visit the kids' corner for face painting and arts & crafts.
The Annual Heritage Harvest Festival will take place at locations throughout the Montgomery County Heritage Area on October 5 & 6.Participants can explore farms and farm markets, wineries and vineyards, a living history farm, a lavender farm, an artisan brewery, artists’ studios, historic farm buildings, and much more. Family activities include farm tours, markets, live music, crafts, farm animals, wine tastings, and food for sale.Participants can enjoy a drive through the countryside and pick up local fall produce.
Heritage Montgomery, located in Germantown, Maryland, is one of 13 heritage areas in the State of Maryland. The organization promotes and supports heritage tourism to county historical, cultural, and natural areas, helps to tell their stories and attracts visitors to their sites.
The Annual Bethesda Row Arts Festival will take place October 12 & 13.About 190 leading artists nationwide will turn Bethesda Row’s Arts and Entertainment District into an outdoor art gallery, featuring juried fine arts and fine crafts. This year there will be a Young Collector’s Corner in a tented area, where emerging local artists will showcase their works to first-time and novice art collectors.Also, a new VIP Experience will offer patrons a personalized tour of the event – by reservation - guided by a knowledgeable art consultant. The tour will include electric cart service, refreshments, and one-on-one time with pre-selected artists.In addition, over two dozen volunteers will line the streets as Art Ambassadors to guide patrons through the event, passing out a daily newsletter, maps, offers at local restaurants, and providing way-finding services.

The annual Maryland Renaissance Festival takes place on select days, thru October 20.The family event offers nine weekends of thrills, feasting, handmade crafts, entertainment and merriment in Crownsville, near Annapolis, Maryland. The 27-acre Village of Revel Grove features more than 200 professional performers on ten stages, a 3,000 seat arena with armored jousting on magnificent steeds and streets filled with village characters. More than 140 artisans exhibit crafts in their renaissance shops; five taverns feature cool libations, and 42 food and beverage emporiums provide a vast array of treats.

The Glen Echo Park Holiday Art Show & Sale, presented by the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture, will take place November 23-January 5.The event will be held in the Popcorn Gallery & Stone Tower Gallery.
The Music Center at Strathmore will present the annual Museum Shop Holiday Market, November 7-10 in the Mansion. The Holiday Market brings together “the area’s best museum and cultural shops for a festive four days. Every purchase supports nonprofit museums and arts organizations in our community. The suggested donation is $10 at the door.
